The Native American Festival takes place the first weekend in June each year, honoring and sharing their culture. Traditional dance and drum is always enjoyed by visitors to this event.
On September 25th, each year, members of the Overmountain Victory Trail Association, re-enact the long journey to Kings Mountain, during the American Revolution. Here, they are seen crossing the Watauga River, arriving at Sycamore Shoals for the historic muster.
The historic John and Landon Carter Mansion is located on the Broad Street Ext. in Elizabethton. The home boasts original overmantle paintings and exquisite hand carving and detailed decoration throughout the home.
